With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The invention of CFC's which started global warming.
The accidential bombing by an F-16 which left a gaping hole in an area of southern Nevada / northern Arizona.
James Dean died.
Lou Costello died.

I guess you could add the Russian invasion of Hungary, maybe Castro's revolution in Cuba, or Eisenhower committing the first troops in Vietnam. Take your pick.
