how old do you think betta's are when you first get them from the fish store myn looks full grown when i got it so how old do you think that is?

Generally they are about 3-5 months old when they hit stores. Sometimes you get older fish as breeders dump there less productive stock for younger fish.

F.East breeders can force grow Fighters in 10/14 weeks to full size, in the wild these fish very rarely survive a year however since ive been keeping fish the life expectancy of most fish has increased dramatically except for guppys the lines on those have been destroyed.

Look at the fins. Are they flowing? If they are from a pet store usually they are 6 to 8 months. If the fins are long and flowing ten they are probably a year or more.

Unless you get them from a breeder it is very hard to tell. If they are full finned they are anywhere from 8 months on up. Walmart fish are at least 1 or 2 when you get them.
