parents don't teach their children good sportsmenship. That is they even tried to teach them a sport. Kids now a days are in the TECHNO WORLD everything must be the most uptodate. X box ps nintendos etc. They learn how to be a sportsmen from them and think it's the same for on the field. I'm not blaming these objects for this NO I"M BLAMING THE PARENTS.

When I was growing up, my family was poor, all we had for entertainment was the good outdoors. Now parents of my generation give their kids whatever they want no matter the price. And people wonder why the world is why it is today. DUH GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER PEOPLE IT"S YOUR FAULT THAT YOU KIDS ARE THE WAY THEY ARE.

I totally agree. I teach high school and many kids can't deal with being told they are wrong either. It's that big self esteem movement that started back in the nineties. I don't know how they'll deal in the "real world".

That's interesting. I wouldn't say that when I lost I "sucked it up," but I didn't cry like a pansy. What I did was get my revenge or cheat or play a different game or decide never to talk to who ever beat me again.

I think it's a bit of human nature to be a sore loser. I think with age society trains us a bit but, really, who likes to lose?

Because now kids are being told that they're all special and awesome at whatever they do so when they run into something they aren't good at and fail they don't understand and get upset.

I've seen grown men throw tantrums from losing board games. That's where the kids get it from.

I don't know, I can't figure out why adults on Y!A can't deal with differing opinions. Kids make more sense than that.

Instead of being taught that there are winners and losers they've only been told that winning is the only thing that matters.
