Depends on the law where you live. In Oregon and most of Washington for example, you MUST vote absentee now. Contact your county Board of Elections, and/or look up your state Secretary of State's website online (not the US Secretary of State, Condoleeza Rice). You can find the website for any state by going to http://www.state.XX.us, where XX is your state's postal abbreviation. Look for government, executive branch, or elected officials to find your SecState.

You need to obtain a voter registration card by registering in the town and county where you reside. This can be done through your County Clerk or the town clerk. PO boxes are NOT acceptable as proof of residence - you must have a valid physical address.
