I got some in the plant and flowers section but i wasn't sure!

Yes spray the whole plant with water and then when it drys you can feed it to them anytime without having to wash it. A hanging basket in medium sun works great. A hanging basket because then the cats cant get to it.

Always rub the leaf between your fingers to release the oils in it. Thats what the cats like. Just put it near them and let them catch the smell and come over to it.
It's a strong smell to them.

Catnip is safe for cats. I grow a nice plant of it for them -- it smells really strong when you pick off the leaves!

My cats also LOVE the grass I grow for them (they are indoor cats), so I keep a pot of that going too.

You don't need to wash it!!! They like it just the way it is.!!And yes they will eat it.Helps with their digestion and makes them giddy and playful.
