All LIVING races have the same binomial nomenclature, however the race called Neandertal / neanderthal are considered extinct and are refered to as being a subspecies. Africans, Jews and other groups have also been considered by some to be a different species. The ability of Africans and whites to reproduce fertile offspring disproves that. I imagine if all the Australian Aborigines had died out and all that were left were their skeletal remains, many a modern day anthropologist would proudly proclaim them to be an evolutionary link to "modern man"., based on their "primitive" skull features. There is no neandertal anti defamation league to protect the Neanderthal from the continuing insults of scholarly anthropologists and their lofty pontifical proclamations, which they use to propagate their absurd evolutionary theories. I, on the other hand would be proud to stand side by side with my "cavemen" brethren and call them brother. Racism is still racism even if a few thousand years separates the scapegoat, and we are all still victims of these preposterous claims.

Until recently it was done because we are all, other than superficial differences, the same. Structurally we are all alike, we share the same characteristics and we can all reproduce with each other no matter where in the world we actually originated.
Modern genetics has shown, conclusively, that all humans are genetically the same species. The only variation in our DNA from one another is what would be expected between members of the same species rather than what you would find between members of different, but closely realted species.

We are all the same species...we are all the same genetically..our DNA is the same even though our appearance may seen different. Actually despite differences in looks..humans have very little genetic diversity. The animals that are classified as different species is because they are different genetically and are in fact NOT the same species.
Look up genotype and phenotype to help you understand this better.

I agree. There are over 10,000 species of birds. Some of them look almost exactly the same but they still stay with their own kind. It is very rare that they mate with another species. I'm not saying it should never happen, I just don't think it should become a world wide trend.

The differences you see don't go very deep. They are the result of environmental adaptation. For example Indians in the Andes have larger chest and lung capacity than similar Indians that live a lower altitudes. It is estimated that this adaptation occured in the order of 10,000 years.
We are all the same species. And we haven't changed much in the last 10,000 years. Including we aren't any smarter.

Species is not much based on appearance. Do you know that a chihuahua is the same species as an Irish wolfhound? Do they look much alike?

It's about genetics and percentages of similarities. There were numerous different species of humans once. Ours is the only one remaining.

Organisms that are in the same species can reproduce together and have offspring that can also reproduce. This is true of all humans, so we are all in the same species.

All humans are only different in superficial ways - skin colour, eye colour, height, etc. At a physiological and structural level, we are alike.
Any human can breed with any other human (politics and beliefs aside). Any human can give blood (with some chemical restrictions) to any other.

Different species are those which cannot reproduce with each other. All humans can reproduce together.
