Where is the money for Iraq going?

The latest: the Marines aren't getting the equipment they need in Iraq. So where is all the money Bush is spending going? It's sure not getting to the troops.

Defense contractors are gettng huge amounts. For instance we all know about Dick Cheney's corporation, Haliburton getting multi-billion dollar NO-BID contractS. We also are paying the Iraqi government billions to pay their army and police - half of whom are those fighting us. This whol,e thing is just a a black hjole for our money. Meanwhile we don 't have money for social security? For after school programs? For small farm support? For repairing our Interstate Highway systems? To pay off the Vietnam war?

I wish we had have an alternative party with a spine that would stand up for the American people and not the corporate moguls.

The Blackwater mercenaries riding around in fully armored Suburbans instead of shabby Humvees making an average of $135,000/yr compared to the $40,000 average for our volunteer heroes, rebuilding efforts including $4 million clinics where roofs cave in before the doors are open, infrastructure rebuilding that has led to less clean water and electricity than before the war and thousands of other examples prove that unfettered capitalism is the enemy of security and peace.

The budget for Iraq must go to the equipment and weapons of the troops assigned thereat and not for use by politicians to fund their campaigns.

Graft and corruption are the main cause for money going to corporations being wasted. The troops get time and grade plus hazard pay.
