1. Writer's Block a. No not really b. keep writing keep writing until something sounds good. Move forward like a shark. Never stop moving. (writing) c. yes. d. No. Never give up. Once you do you are dead. 2. Do I like Action? a. Yes. Hard Boiled Detective fiction ala Shaft, Mike Hammer, Philip Marlowe and of course Spencer for hire. 3. Make a through outline. a. Keep all of your thoughts, plots and subplots organized. b. Depends on the person. Write what you would want to read let the rest fall into place. c. Do not take any criticism personally. Thick skin. Listen, sometimes the criticism is valid. 4. How do I get ideas for stories? news stories/stories in news papers. Find something interesting and ask what if...and go from there. Sometimes ideas will present themselves or I will look at another writer's work and see an idea they missed and write on that. a. At home in my office b. Mostly at night c. With lots of green tea. d. All of my ideas are THE story. You've got to have that mentality or why else write? If someone asked you to write a mediocre story and you did...what would be the point? Write the best of your ability, every time. All of the time.

Actually, a light year is everything you wanted in a year, and less. But you have to be old enough to remember the first light beer commercials to get that.
