why is it that poeple that do not have a single job can get goverment assistant of all kind and someone who works and makes "to much " cannot. example ,i rember when my husband left me and he also took every pennie that we had , and i had to come up with almost 600 dollars in day care for one child ,my son. and when i tried only to get daycare assistance for a short time they said i made to much !!!!!! is that not crap when the people that do work pay for this,but they supposive make to much . who agrees

I agree with you. The working class citizen is being used to support everyone else rich and poor. If you work you don't have a chance. Your husband is a turd. Flush him

There is a limit on income for government assistance because if there were not more people would qualify and taxes would be higher. Americans, especially men, seem to resent paying taxes to care for children who are not theirs. In some European countries, where people are willing to pay more taxes, help with child care is provided to all mothers just like the public schools are here. I too had to work and pay child care after my husband died, but I was glad that at least there was some minimum program was in place so we would not starve if I got sick and couldn't work.

You mean assistance - I can not answer the why but I
agree that it is easier for those not willing to work to get
welfare than people working & trying to get any help at all.
It stinks & is unfair.
