It's not our government that makes us great-it's the values that our country was founded upon. Our current government is a absolute self-serving viper's nest. (I'm really ticked about this amnesty deal)

Because it is not a parliamentary system, and has defined election cycles which are not subject to the whims of the ruling party. In addition, with the separation of powers, it is more difficult for one group to control all functions of the government.
