I lost my plug with my first at 35 weeks and had to be induced at 41. This time I am 37 weeks and lost it at 28.. The docs were concerned for a little while, but I am still pregnant, so I can tell you for sure that you will have the baby sometime between now, and when it gets here.... :)
Good Luck!!!

you mucus plug is just a safe barrier to not let bacteria in. Very normal to be losing it now. It could be weeks before you go into labor. Some people dont lose them until there water breaks others lose them weeks before. Pretty much just means your body is getting ready for labor but does not tell you a time line on when it is going to start.

Losing your mucus plug does not mean you will be going into labor anytime soon. I am 39 weeks along, and my mucus plug has been gone for several weeks. It is after your water breaks when you usually go into labor within 12 to 24 hours.

I lost my mucous plug about a week before delivery. It depends on the individual pregnancy, some women lose their plug weeks before delivery, others lose it once labor begins. But, in most cases, losing the plug means you'll deliver within a few days. So, if you haven't got all your baby supplies yet, nows the time to stock up! Good luck!

That is just the start of the labor process. It can be 24 or less, and could even be 3 to 4 days. If your water breakes though you need to go to the Emergency Room.

I lost that too, but I didn't go into labor for sometime. I think it took about a week after the mucus plug feel out. I had sex and that's what started my labor!

Some women will lose their mucous plug or part of their mucous plug weeks before they go into labor. Losing your mucous plug does not always mean labor will begin shortly. Keep in mind that even if a woman has begun to dilate, it may be weeks before she actually goes into labor. However, if you notice blood tinged mucous before your thirty-sixth week of pregnancy, notify your doctor right away. As your body prepares for labor your cervix will begin to dilate and thin. As your cervix opens up, your mucous plug may fall out. Losing your mucous plug is a good sign that labor is on its way. Though, it could be days or even weeks after you lose your mucous plug before labor actually starts. Many women do not lose their mucous plug at one time; instead, they lose it more gradually. They may notice an increase in vaginal secretions weeks before they go into labor.
