I think Dr. Paul is the only candidate for '08 who has demonstrated a real understanding of the federal governments responsibilities. Unfortunately, most Americans are oblivious to the source of freedom in this great Republic, our Constitution. A worthy candidate, without a doubt. Whether or not that translates into an electable candidate is a completely different issue.

Ron Paul is the ideal candidate. In my opinion, he is one of the few candidates that have his head on straight. He relies on logic rather than emotion. It is easy to get people riled up on patriotic issues as with many cadidates, but Ron Paul actually tries to use his brain. He wants to restore America to be true to the constitution of the United States, rather than some rouge ideas that has become what many consider "normal" now a days.
We have to keep in mind that he holds the original "conservative" ideals. Current consertive ideals were once considered radical but have shifted to be the status quo. If I were to pick a Republican, it would be Ron Paul. If I were to pick a Democrat, it would be Dennis Kucinich.

Yes. All one has to do is listen to his clips-he has a grasp of what has gone wrong.
I don't see anyone better than Ron Paul (too bad Paul/Kucinich couldn't be a ticket-that would be awesome).
Of course he will have big business' and the industrial military complex against him and that's where WE TE PEOPLE have to step in for our future well-being and change these current mis-representatives.

I agree with with his vision of how this country SHOULD be managed. I do find fault with his views of pulling the troops out of Iraq, however. I believe if you break it you own it. But, that one thing is not enough for me to vote for one of the other cloned candidates who happen to be running. They are all the same person in a different mask. They are all owned by big money and big government.
VOTE RON PAUL 2008!!!

First, he isn't really a Republican - he's a Libertarian. Nothing wrong with that - I prefer Libertarians to Repubs any day of the week - but it's a problem in a Republican primary.
Also, like most hardcore Libertarians, he takes the idea too far, and applies his one magic answer of 'less government' to every problem, without regard to whether it makes any sense or not. The Libertarians are classic examples of Maslow's great saying, "When all you have is a hammer, the whole world looks like a nail."
