my fire belly newt is realy fat and there is another newt with it and the other newt is normal.

Probably not pregnant, but if it's a female, she may have eggs which can make her look fat. You can sex them by looking at the cloaca - males' are thicker, females' blend in with the rest of the bosy - see these photos (of axolotls) for what these look like: http://www.axolotl.org/biology.htm

Males also get a purplish iridescent color on their tails when they're in breeding condition.

Are they in together? The other could be eating more of the food. Believe it or not newts can get fat from eating too much. Maybe you should feed them seperately and make sure their diet is diverse....that also helps.

Lol, just kidding.
Most likley, it's pregnant.
Put some food, fresh water, and make sure you keep the other lizard out and leave your lizzard alone. I suggest doing some research on pregnant lizards. They lay eggs btw.
