you can usually see when its puffier from peeing... and you can usually smell the poop. If you havent noticed either, I would check every 2 hrs for a newbie.

I change my 3-month baby's diaper every two hours during the day, unless she's had a bowel movement and then I change it right away. At night I only change her if she's soaked through or if she's had a BM because diaper changes tend to get her wide awake and feeling playful, hard to get her back to sleep, so I try to avoid night time diaper changes whenever possible.

I change my daughters diaper about every 3hrs or so, I go thru 6 to 8 diapers a day.

I change by son's diaper before every feeding. Also, you can feel the diaper occasionally...soiled diaper feel full, lumpy and heavy.
Also, some babies will let you know when they have a soiled diaper.

check it every hour the baby is awake and change if its wet or dirty. Also right before you put baby to sleep and right when he/she wakes up

less than 1 month every couple hours check. 1-3mos, 3-4 hours, 3-6mos about 4 hours-5.

well i woudl chek liek an hr after you feed him. then keep record of hwo often he poops and pees. most liktel kids like humans have a specific patter of when to pee and poop. chnage if when it starts to hang. if the baby is younger than 1.. i dunno
