What's got me steamed is the Democrates ended up bowing down to the president and republicans by allowing more funding for the war WITHOUT a timetable for withdrawl!!! I can't believe they gave in! It makes me sick!

The Democrats don't want the war to be over. That would be the worst thing for their agenda. The Democrats have a real dilema on their hands. They have promised peace, but aren't able to deliver it. Let's talk this out. If the war stops in Iraq tommorrow and then there be any type of terrorist attack on American soil, G-D forbid, who is to blame? The Democrats. If there is one while the war goes on, G-D Forbid, the Democrats blame the Republicans. The longer the war goes and the more unhappy the general public becomes, the better chance the Democrats have for a serious White House bid which is the main goal of the political strategizers. If the war ends, especially this far away from the 2008 election, the Republicans will be looking much better to many voters than the Democrats.

$20/hr minimum wage? Hopefully Congress hasn't become that short sighted.

The war isn't enging tommorrow, because 1) even if the Dems had the guts to de-fund the war, the current funding would likly see them through for another month or two and 2) the Dems don't have the guts to de-fund the war.

The minimum wage has been increased, if you'd wanted $20, you should've gotten it in writing.

Well, the war isn't ending because your wonderful (assuming you are a Republican from this reply) Republican president keeps making it so that the soldiers still have to be there. Most likely this will last until they are all dead or he's out of office first. Also, noone makes $20.00 for minimum wage, especially those who can't even spell a simple word such as to-mor-row. Marrow is in your bones brother. ;)

Because like ALL politicians, they are all talk and no action---did you really think there would be life altering changes in our government? The biggest conspiracy in this country is the fact that we actually believe that we have a two party system when in fact, there is only one----and it's led by the rich zionists!

So, did you just figure out that they lied, whether purposely or because they don't have the clout they thought they would?

Never believe a politician, they only stop lying when their lips stop moving.
