I'm 14, and planning on wearing pigtails tomorrow. They're high up and perky. My hair is cut just above my collarbone, so they're not that long. Personally, I think it looks adorable, but is it too childish?

I know that low pigtails are usually fine, but mine are really high, like where Mickey Mouse's ears would be. (LOL, weird comparison, I know!)

It depends on a couple things. What look are you trying to pull off? Are you confident enough to wear any style YOU like, regardless of public opinion? You are in your teen transition years and it is perfectly normal to be different.

I think it usually depends on the rest of your facial features. If you have mature, well-developed features, you could get away with it easier than if you have more childish looking features (not that there is anything wrong with it)
Personally I think high pigtails make people look alot younger than if they are low ones...

nope, nothings too childish if you like it there's 30 year olds who wear pigtails, id where pigtails more if they looked good on me, and i'm 15, so don't worry about it you dont always have to go with the flow!

dont make em high up. low pigtails are better. im 13 and i do low pigtails all the time no one says anything.
besides u shouldnt care if thay look cute then go 4 it!

There were two girls in my French 116 class Spring semester in college that wore pigtails. I don't think it is childish.
If it is your style and you like it, that is all that matters.
Edit:
Everybody responding here seems to feel that they should be "relaxed" pigtails.

i like pigtails (Im 13). i perfer low pigtails though. but high ones arent too childish, be a child while we still can! =)

I think that it kind of depends on where you actually wear them on ur head, like if they're in the back or on the sides. I would probably wear my hair in pig tails like down low and have my hair lay out on my shoulders,(my hair is about as long as urs) although that look isn't as perky as pig tails high up.

No I am 29 and personally love them. A personal trainer at the gym I work out at wears them all the time too. Also many of my friends in there 20's do. They are sweet. Do what you like. I am sure you will be adorable.

Well...... sometimes you can get away with it, but most of the time, it's a no go--- if you are going to wear pigtails, wear them lower down.... they are more your age then the high up perky ones.
