From the time they get pregnant to the time they give birth is usually an average of 28 days. It can easily be a week shorter or longer though.

I've been wondering the same thing! I bought some feeder guppies a few weeks ago but my turtle isn't eating them. I took out a few of the fat ones cuz I wanted to see the babies being born... But I forgot about watching for the babies, lol. So a few days ago there's like 10 teeeeeeny weeeeeeeny guppies swimming around... They're so cute... But it's only a matter of time before my frog sees them and eats 'em.

Normally a guppy will give birth every 28 days. However it can be longer. If that is the case I would suggest adding additional aquairum salt until you see babies. Guppies, like mollies, are and can be a brackiesh fish.

that's broadly believed that guppies have a hormone that lasts sixteen hours. throughout this era of time, she would be able to not experience the urge to consume. it fairly is why not ingesting food is a symptom that she is able to grant delivery. besides the certainty that, alot of circumstances the guppy will turn around and consume the fry anyhow. i detect that with all my guppies; not as quickly as have I considered this. Alot of circumstances they consume their youthful as a survival of the fitest attempt. for this reason, this is not risk-free to go away a mom guppy along with her fry. save them mutually till she has finished giving delivery- then pass them to a secure tank.

It's different for each female, and depends a lot on your temperature. Usually every 28 days, looks like everyone agrees on that. I don't use salt all the time, personally, but if you do, it doesn't need to be higher than point two percent.

Give each of your females a name, then when they have babies, mark that day on your calendar. Each time she has babies, mark it down. You'll find she's like clockwork, then you'll always be ready for babies. I use multiple aquariums and I mark all the information on Teflon tape and stick it right to the tanks.
