I don't believe that I have ever seen people get as riled up at child molesters as they do towards homesexuality. I feel that our childrens well being and innocence is so much more important than two people of the the same gender wanting to be married. Love is a beautiful thing between two consenting adults. Molest is just plain sick and causes so much devastation to a family, that they will never be the same. I feel people should be way more upset and put hell of a stronger effort against child molest.

A hell of a lot more time, money, and effort is spent fighting against gay marriage than there is for our children. I suppose I was looking more at the religious movement against gays. They will protest and tell them how wicked being gay is, why are they not stratigicly fighting against child molest, like they fight against gay marriage? I have never heard anyone quote from the bible against the wicked acts of child molest. Yet I have witnessed how child molest is more accepted or excused, than being gay.

I would say because child molestation is cut and dried and is accepted as an evil by the vast majority of societies in the west and taken for granted as such wheras homosexuality has been mainly condemned by the "main stream religions" as a sin like lust, envy or adultery and so many people of these faiths are debating the issue now; some still condemning and others accepting the new ideas on homosexuality and gay marriage.

Its religion, they hate gay people. It is a sad thing really. I found growing up in a religious environment that their were a lot of child molesters but they can just ask forgiveness. Sad to say but we are somewhat ruled buy the religious right.

I would say that you are being just as paranoid about child preditors as some people are about homosexuality. And i noticed how you only seem to care about rapists who target children, you think the ones that go after other adults are better.
I'm NOT supporting child mollestation or anything and I'm NOT a pedo I just hate it when people are so hard on these people. They really need to get the therepy and help they need before a kid get's harmed if they really can't controll their fantacies and have so much trouble all ready they don't need people like you to make it harder for them.
Maby 1 day we will all just beable to except eachother for who we are.

The pope has attempted to use diplomatic immunity to hide peados and there's scandals about the peados who are hidden via transferral to another parish, there are even priests who blame the kids for leading them on and yet people only ever attack gays - this is evil. Gays do no harm

I think the reason is that people cannot distinguish the difference between Homosexuality and Pedophilia (sp?). As retarded as it may sound to some...people still feel that HOMOSEXUALS WILL RAPE CHILDREN....of course this is NOT TRUE. Most child molestors are married men with children of their own. These are sick individuals who need to seek help. Homosexuality is not a mental health issues. There is nothing wrong with loving someone of the same sex...just as long as they are of legal consenting age.

Cause everyone knows molesting is wrong, but not gay.
people do fight child molesters. And they can recover, its called therapy. I agree it is pretty sick though.
Love is not between adults, it is among anyone. You have equated sexual relations with love and no one should listen to that. I think sexual relations should only be between married people, by definition a man and a woman.
Plus in other cultures people get married before 18, are they molesters?
So basically ur justifying gayness by saying "theres worse"

Child molestation is committed 90+% of the time by Straights...not gays. It would not behove straight to publicize that fact....so it is easier to attack a minority. A day is coming very soon when they are going to see how wrong they are in thinking Gays do not fight back. We have, we do, and we will...and that will be economically, socially, and with very big sticks.

because everyone hates child molesters.... ding dong! the people close to the child get riled up because it's their own child, their own business. we have made a persons sexual preferences everyones business and that's why so many people get riled up. it should be their business if they want to get married and have the same legal rights as everyone elses not... not the rest of the worlds.

Many people, whether from ignorance or fear,or religous beliefs probably find it easier to"bash" rather than to understand human feelings and deal and accept the differences in us all.Gay issues seem to be about morality whereas child molestation is definately about sickness and needs to be dealt with.

Because homosexuality is completely different from molestation. Most molesters are straight men, and that is absolutely disgusting. Homosexuality is perfectly normal, and is not wrong. It's just the way people are, and some people are too stupid/ignorant to believe that.
