This was said today on 'Special Report' (aka Brit Hume and the 3 stooges) by Charles Krauthammer.
In plain English, this means: Laws are made to be broken.
Isn't this a typical Republican attitude?

Republican spin machine is always used the tactic to defame the other side. The Republicans wont take any responsibility for their own actions when caught up in them, but are the first ones to point the finger. The debate over the new legislature concerning lobbyist sharing isn't a real concern for the Democrats anyway, since the Democrats don't support the large corporations subsidies. You do see by the cloning below what I mean about taking responsibility.

Hmmm... Sounds the same no matter how you say it.

OK man, think about this. In the fifty years of democrat "ownership", till the mid 90's, the congress passed law after law and created program after program to help "the ordinary working man". Just how many of those money pits actually accomplished anything other than put more liberals on the tax payroll? There is no translation. The comment was in plain enough English. It is a fact that Democrat plans make us all feel better, but never really do anything tangible.

Actually, what it means is that any anti-corruption laws passed by the Democratic Congress will be intentionally riddled with loopholes that will allow said corruption to continue. That is, any such bill is just for show. A political stunt.

Bush will probably add a signing statement exempting all Republicans from reporting the lobbyist connections.

If you truly believe that corruption is a single-party issue, you really need to start thinking for yourself more.
