Surf SideKick is spyware/adware. You will need a anti spyware application like Webroot's SpySweeper or PC Tool's Spyware Doctor. Unfortunately, both programs cost $29. There are a number of free methods to remove it. Here is a short list:

1. Use the free anti spyware program HijackThis to remove it. The tutorial is located at (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic9549.html). The tutorial has the download link for the program.

2. Download the free version of Spyware Doctor and/or Norton Antivirus from Google's Pack. Both the free version of Spyware Doctor and Norton Antivirus will remove the adware. The link to the Google Pack is (http://pack.google.com/intl/en/pack_installer.html?hl=en&gl=us). The Google Pack is a bundle of free software titles from well known software vendors. The free versions of their products are fully functional, though they lack the bells and whistles of their big siblings. Some of the software are free for the first year. Afterwards, you have to purchase a license to continue using them. But one free year is still pretty good.
