It is a very long time. I have been married for 10 years! It goes by so fast... you blink and your 20's are gone.....

No because who cares about this day and age. They (society) has become a "me" society that has clouded everyone's judgement and made them doubt their existence. That is why an individual could feel like twelve years is an eternity. People get married and until death do they part. That is all inclusive if they were married for 1 year or 1000 before one of them died.

yes i from a divorced family and now that i been married 9 year now as of last wed. so i can see people say that 12 years can be eternity.

Yes! I can't imagine being tied to one person for 12 years! Good on ya :) 2 thirds of weddings divorce with 10 years of marriage, so ur doing well :)

Think of it this way, a slow marriage makes time go slowly and it makes it seem that your life is longer as well. Be thankful for a longer life compliments of your marriage. What a gift your husband has given you on your wedding anniversary. Lucky you. Many wives of men lost in Iraq wished they were in your shoes.

yes it does i haven't been married as long as you have almost 10.but i can not remember a time before marriage its been eternity since i was single. congratulation's on the 12 years.

Nah... I've been married for 22 1/2 years and it just gets better and better. My grandparents were married for 72 years... now that's an eternity!

Maybe not an eternity, but it is most certainly an accomplishment!! I give you a big applause!!! Most people dont stay married that long anymore. So congrats! At least you are not a statistic like me.....A young divorcee!

It depends... If you love your spouse dearly, it might feel like 12 seconds; If you have fallen into routine and out of love, well It might feel like an eternity.
