I agree that you are not going to be able to find 6" ribbon in a craft store. Most do not carry that wide of ribbon. Your best bet is online or making your own out of material that you have bought. Try looking for floral or baking wholesalers (Bakers use wide ribbons to decorate cakes)
Here is a website I found:
http://mysticalley.com/berwick_ribbon_piesmallrolls.html
It's about 2/3s the way down the page
Can you tell us a color or material that you would like?

If you can't find it and it becomes urgent, I did an outdoor project by cutting strips I needed from a plastic tablecloth I got at a dollar tree store. Ten dollars later, I had the whole block tied with yellow "ribbons".
JoAnn etc carries an assortment of wide satin ribbons.
Also, seasonally, check out your ,local dollar stores.

You will NOT be able to find ribbons in these widths at a craft store. You may be able to have your florist special order the 6" width for you. The largest width that a florist uses is a 100 (3 7/8", 4"). I have never seen a 6" width ribbon. Maybe you could do a web search to see if it is available.

Florists can hook you up with Flora Satin weatherproof ribbon. Tell them what you need it for and they may even just give it to you free of charge! Make sure you get something weatherproof that won't fade. This is a lovely idea! In 1992 my dad returned home from Saudi Arabia to a town COVERED in yellow bows my Girl Scout troop made and sold. We got ribbon from a wholesale florist. Good luck and God bless!

Any craft store (such as Michael's or Joanne's) will have it. You can even check Walmart or Kmart in their fabric department. The selection at the craft store will be better but I guess it depends on what you're looking for.
