Here is a test. Place your arm by your side, bend the elbow so your forearm is directly in front. Have someone hold your elbow to your side, with his other hand on your hand. Push in each direction, left and right. If there is pain you have torn the rotator cuff. The only cure is surgery. Stop lifting you will make it worse.

Please get it looked at by a doctor. My sister had pain in her shoulder and let it go. It turns out she had a SLAP injury and had to have surgery. When the doctor started the surgery there was also a rotator cuff tear. He repaired everything but she has low grade pain all of the time ow. It has been a year and she doesn't think it will ever go away. DON'T WAIT TOO LONG. You may not have a tear at all. I didn't; I just had to do physical therapy for my shoulder.

You need to get it looked at by a doctor, but its best to err on the side of caution and take it easy and take some anti-inflammatory meds until you can get a better idea of what has happened. I wished I had, woulda saved me many years of excruciating pain and a total rebuild surgery.

I had a motorbike harm in 1997 and crashed my left shoulder right into a concrete wall interior the top spot you defined on your question yet on my left ingredient the place the deltoid muscle is. It harm so undesirable that i could not develop a shirt over my head for 9 months. i did not pass to the scientific expert for financial motives and to this present day, i can't do particular issues and it "slips" and hurts back. you will might desire to have surgical treatment as i'm going to do presently (extra helpful late than never). it won't in any respect heal a hundred% by itself. The rehab era is 6 months! i understand what you advise approximately particular action. i grow to be attempting to get my radiator cap off and theory i grow to be going to die. This occurred final fall, very just about 10 years later. particular issues I do motives it to "slip" like putting my left hand on the wall whilst I urinate for instance. they'll do a MRI and take x-rays and then do surgical treatment and then rehab. i'm hoping you have solid coverage. yet sure, it fairly is reminiscent of what pitchers pass via in basic terms they tear theirs by using action often.
