All the answers apply that were posted before mine. It was pretty common practice for the military to surround the village burn it down and have them hit the road to where ever. It worse cases they weren't allowed to live. They were forced to leave home without any supplies or personal belonging and sent to areas other wouldn't dream of wanting to live at, deep woods, cold stark mountainous regions or dry deserts. The Native Americans persevered and made do where ever they were relocated to.

Destroyed their society through disease, as well. Mostly inadvertently, but there are rumours that they were given blankets infected with smallpox. Native Americans had no resistance to diseases like measles, which was deadly for them.

They took it by force. Killed their food source. And used a little medical genocide.
Spain did the same with a Aztecs.

Well they came in with canons and guns and told em to go into this reservation or die. A few fought back and were shot, So there you go.

We used the army to move them. We also destroyed the buffalo and things they needed to live on.
