He apperently got to the lock screen and need to somehow unlock it, have store reciept and am willing to send it somewhere if needed but would prefer to have use of it.

loooll, you should not yell at him, cause it was an accident that is easily fixed.

Just connect your ipod to a computer, and itunes unlocks it

there you go...........hope this helps.

I had mine freeze with the screen still active and lit. With the help of a co-worker I was able to unlock it by pushing the hold switch back and forth a few times and then holding down menu and the select button in the center. Worked like a charm.

1) Make sure hold button is not on
2) Enter iTunes - the data maybe corrupt thus causing iPod to freeze - restore
3) Hold Menu button (or Play button depending on iPod type) then hold select button or again depending on iPod type Menu/Select + Play Button

if these don't help use your warranty and it should be replaced!

un click the swich at the top of ipod
