I will be teaching in Madrid Sept. '07 to June '08 and I need a cheap and safe place to live. Please help!

I would prefer something fairly close to the center of town in the Lavapies area. However I need an apartment that is roughly 400 or less euros a month and furnished. I am not picky, it can be small, or even a student residency. The price is my main concern. Thanks!
