I've tried to do this, and sometimes I can see flashes of things that come true a few days later. One time I saw this skeleton-like thing and on the news a few days later I saw scientists discover anew tomb somewhere in Egypt and were examining the body they found inside. Most of the time I don't even remember I had the dream until it is actually happening, and this happens at least once a week. I just know I've seen the scene before. I've tried telekinesis, but haven't been able to do it because I don't have the concentration level you need to be able to. I can see auras, though, as can everyone if you believe they are real. If there is something mentally blocking your mind, like disbelief, it will never work. It's actually quite interesting, I love being able to do it. If you think it's real, you should try it, it's so fun. :) Your friend is right though, and it should not be joked about. Hope I can help. :)

Many people have extraordinary abilities - musical talents, extraordinary memories, awesome physical abilities of strength, coordination and dexterity. But there is ABSOLUTELY NO EVIDENCE for any so-called paranormal powers. No one has ever bent a spoon with their mind under controlled conditions, no one has ever predicted the future with any reliability, no one has demonstrated telekinesis or telepathy.

Humans are biological animals formed by evolution and made of understandable and analyzable molecules. Eyes see, noses smell, fingers feel and they do it reliably and replicably. What organ or part of the body can detect the future or move things without touching them? How would an ability like that evolve if it is basically unreliable and only shown by very few people.

What force is used to move or bend objects without touching them?? Physicists recognize very few forms of action at a distance (gravity, electromagnetism, strong and weak nuclear force) and can measure them to incredibly degrees of sensitivity. Humans do not have control of these types of forces with their bodies.

Regrettably, all paranormal phenomena are either the products of con men or of self delusion or sometime both.

The strangest ability I've seen in some persons is their ability to delude themselves into believing that some people possess "supernatural powers" (such as the ability to bend spoons with just their thoughts). It is truly amazing that any otherwise rational person could believe such nonsense. Especially when every professional magician can perform precisely the same illusion and often with much more skill than the so called "psychics."

Your friend is being truthful and is not crazy. However he is extraordinarily gullible and is likely to fall for any deception. You should warn him that he is in danger of being taken advantage of by charlatans promising to foretell his future or sell him spells and talismans. Some persons will give up their entire life savings to such frauds.

well it depends on what you mean by "strange abilities" for example there are people that have very flexible joints and can bend their bodies in ways the average human can't. there are people that can make their eyes pop out of their eye sockets, which is a very rare ability. then there are those who have extremely good memories and can remember everything they ever saw. but "paranormal" abilities are most likely just like any of the abilities I mentioned, they're just not fully understood. humans still have a lot to learn, we can't say we know everything because we don't.

I think truth is stranger than fiction. I can imagine evolution of our species has produced a few people with abilities others don't have. I'm sure in a few centuries everyone will be like that.

Regarding "documented cases", that's a deceiving phrase that doesn't mean anything. If someone thought they saw something paranormal and they documented it, then it's a "documented case". It means nothing but it sounds impressive.

But if you're looking for incidents that are confirmed by observation by reliable objective witnesses, where the possibility of deception is exceedingly small, and where expert physicists and magicians both declare that the observed phenomenon is due to somebody's mind powers and not due to the power of suggestion, natural occurrences, illusion, selective memory, deception or the like, then the answer is a resounding NO. There are NO such cases.

That doesn't mean that scientists/skeptics dismiss the idea completely. It's just that for a reasonable, rational person, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, and to say that paranormal evidence is lacking is an understatement. Open-mindedness isn't the willingness to accept any claim as a possibility no matter how outlandish the claim might be, as many woo-woos here seem to think. No, that is pure silliness. Open-mindnedness is the willingness to accept the possibility a claim might be true IF reasonable evidence is put forth for it. Again, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

It's the irrational person who will immediately accept the most outlandish explanation for a phenomenon that can actually be explained much more readily with reason and appeals to known natural explanations. I'm sure you'll find a number of those kind of people answering your question here too.

Your friend isn't crazy, but just one among many misguided folks who believe in the paranormal for no real good reason other than they just really want to. These people, thinking that their consciousnesses are more evolved, are actually dragging human kind backward to the Dark Ages.

(BTW, spoon bending is one of the oldest illusionist tricks in the book. If you fall for that, you'll fall for anything!)

All the mystical stuff you see is show business. There is a 1,000,000 million dollar prize for anyone who can demostrate their powers as being real. So far, no one has cashed in. That should tell you something.

Yes it is possible. I know this because as time goes on we as humans are finding things we have never yet seen before.
You can listen to ramblings of closed minded people if you want but these people who claim it is fake only have held back progress.
Many who truly have a gift will not document it as pure fact because society treat them like freaks and place them under a microscope.
Don't get me wrong there are many who claim to have gifts but they are glory seekers and wanna-be's.
Personally i do not believe in future tellers as i think we make our own future. i think anyone can predict what will happen and chances are they are likely to get something sometime right.
I have personally seen spoon bending with my own eyes. I can not do it and i could see there was no trick involved doing so. But for you to believe it i guess you would have to see also for yourself.
I do not see your friend as being crazy at all. There are things that can not be explained away. Think of it this way, if we knew everything we ourselves would be Gods. Keep your mind open to the possibilities and never close your mind and give up on new and exciting things we humans just haven't figured out yet.

yes, it is. Actually, if our modern scientific wise enough to answr this phenomenon, it is not strange anyway. Have you ever read the hitler birth chart? From the beginning, he was in the destiny to be a trouble maker. So, these ability is gained under many circumstances:
genetically, or by heredity ( through the cellular formations) and the timing of your soul is given to you.
or, study through a very hard discipline, other wise you risking your own body and soul.
if we say, a gift, please refers to genetics or heredity.
In my environment, this kind of person is common and we know each other well to gain some help. Because some whio have also sometimes uses it badly!.
it is, real and more than possible.
I may self have this kind of heredity but i dont like it and feel stress of it. And try to get this away from me ( by not doing the ritual). But hard...Because my father wants it i think.
