freaking EXCUSE ME for not giving you every damn detail of my exsistance so you can answer my question. i thought tt-r 125 rear shock would be enough! jeez

it sags way to much...basically it nearly bottoms out whenever someone sits on it. it is a used bike that i bought about 2 weeks ago. i live in florida and trail ride (moderate to pretty high levels of bumpy rugged terrain). depending on where i ride. im 5'3/5'4 and roughly 140 lbs. it was fine last week then we took it out to my grandfathers on sunday and put it through its paces, and now the back has no bounce to it at all anymore.

it is a yamaha...2003. thats about all i know about it. the only experience ive ever had with motorcycles before now is simply my own curiosity in how they work. ive never owned one before now, so again im sorry that im not a master with the information... i guess i figured peolple would assume if i knew everything about them i wouldnt be asking >_>

inacase it wasnt i suppose i should also add that im female, 15 years old, and think its sad when people get their panties in a wad over a question that doesnt cover all the details when they could just as easily move on to the next one if it bothered them so bad.

have a nice day

$272 new from Yamaha
Aprox $110 rebuild - search the web for "motorcycle suspension rebuild" and call 'em.There are plenty out there (the shock has to be removed from your bike and mailed, shipping extra).
Call your local Yamaha dealer for their price to rebuild.

this is much better...all that info.. But who cares if your 15 & female...( theres males of 60 on here that dont give enough info to)

go to the bike shop & ask how much to rebuild..

if it cant be rebuilt they can tell you the cost of a Yam one & an after market one..

if you allow email on your profile I could ask for more info if I need it.
we try to help but it is hard when you dont know where in the world they are, and dont get all the info & they dont allow email on there profile...

appologees if I upset you... but after youve been hear awhile you will get pissed of with the newbies to...

is there to much sag? or is it to stiff? It really all depends on your weight. If you have to manual it should tell you how to adjust it. I had a 88 tt225 but i never had to do this.
