Many will disagree with you and I. The fact is, the world has been "warming" since the ice ages...it's just a fact. Many want you to believe it's "other" things causing the problem, but again, it's been happening for thousands of years.

I agree we need to find ways to use alternative fuels...but not because of global warming.

I live near Laramie Wyoming. There has NEVER been a 100 degree day in Laramie. Records have been kept since the transcontinental railroad was built in the 1800's. In fact it snowed earlier this week, so from my perspective, global warming does not sound bad at all.

That temperatures are in a gradual increase is certain. No one knows why but we are apprecieative that the preceeding ice age terminated. CO2 levels are elevated because of industrialization, so scientist figure they MUST do something bad. Total elimination of CO2 would cause the death of all living organisms, it is essential to the plant photosynthises process that supplies our food.

Most people think we are above the favorable balance point for CO2 and it is prudent for those who caused this to do something to correct it. But is this the source of global warming, no one knows.

Global warming and its companion process, ice ages have been in natural cycles for eons without the assistance of mankind. It is quite pretentious to think that anything we do can push mother nature around. If you don't understand these mechanisms, then you are in good company.

It is happening because sun melts ice. It has been happening for eons. Just look at the mountains. How do you think they got there? That's right, melting glaciers tore their path across the land. As for it being a problem, I don't know that problem is the right word. It will have a broad impact on all species, but it will be a gradual change. If it were sudden we would all die but because it is gradual we can all adapt and evolve.
