Peace can't be invented because it either is or it isn't. Rather than invent peace, we can remove anything that is unpeaceful. Some people find peace in music, some in meditation others in relaxation. But war is greed, if one dominant gready person sees another recessive person relaxing, that is the time he or she will choose to fight for convenience or whatever.

Peace and war can be looked at in the same manner as the chicken or the egg subject. Peace has been around since the beginning. It has already been "invented". So has war, but it came after what we already had, mainly because one individual didn't like the same kind of peace that another one did, which was, and still is, based on emotions, beliefs, and conveniences.

The thing is that peace is not easy to use and it is very inefficient.

Why can't we live without killing trees? Because even though it would be great for the trees if we built things out of mud or plastic and steel, we would rather use the wood. Of course there isn't much of a contest there, but it is the same reasoning as choosing to use oil over something that we already have, such as sunlight or animal waste. It's easier and better to use oil. It's convenient.

Taking away or compromising the availability of our conveniences is is what starts fighting.

Peace was there all along.

We can accomplish peace. However western culture has only two unrealistic perspectives to follow. They are materialism and spiritualism. Together they prove the false nature of both because neither answers to all man's needs. For this reason neither can be a true perspective.

This bring us to the issue of peace. Peace will never be accomplished by what is now called western civilization. The two perspective are full of contradictions and consequently conflict. We only give lip service to peace. Peace requires the discover of the one true perspective and western culture has actually excluded the only source of this perspective from education. A true perspective will make consensus, cooperation and peace possible.

We CAN! If we want to, but most if not all people would have to believe it can happen and agree to it, work on it, to make it work. Just like little kids can be taught to hate and kill, little kids are also apt to learning how to love and heal... in this world, we grow up learning both things at the same time and are told we have a choice on how to be. In a way, that's good, but that's a big reason why sometimes a person chooses to do bad things and sometimes a person chooses good things. Thats why I think we have to be taught why something is good and why something is bad for ourselves and others because it isn't always obvious. Life should be about learning from eachother and this process takes forgiveness. That's why I believe in the teaching of Jesus. He is the best example I can think of concerning what it is to forgive and to be humble. Because a person who needs forgiveness needs to learn humbleness and the person who does the forgiving needs to be humble too, because we are all learning.

Why do people have such high regard for peace? It's sooo overrated. Not to mention how UNnatural and UNcommon it is. Can you imagine how boring life would be if we were all placid and harmonious creatures with out any conflict of will?

Chaos is a valid and undeniable aspect of reality. Conflict of will is in some respects the very driving force of the universe. Without it, nothing would exist or evolve.

We, in theory could but it's just like how we don't necessarily invent war itself.
there are a bunch of steps and factors etc.
also, sadly I just don't think we could agree- there is someone who would resent another or even on some subconcious level resent not being able to be that selfless and consequently resent them for it.....I just think there's too much animosity and need for superiority in the human race for there to be peace =(

Peace exists only for those who are willing to live with others in harmony, a lot of people thrive on discord and antipathy. Unfortunately it's the way of the world.

Why? I'll tell you why! Because there are way to many idiots out there that don't worship the ground I walk on and even have the evilness to disagree with my spiritual truths!!!

Self Righteous??.....Sure
But I'm always right so it's understandable

Besides I just ended a love affair badly and I need to hurt somebody to make me feel better.

Those and a few other reasons.

Peace Out!

Peace is something that has to be felt...and preached!?

To invent is to produce something new....

Yep! Let's all try to invent a new kind of peace???

Don't think it'll happen in my lifetime:¬{
