When people are donating millions and millions of dollars to your campaign, maybe you should look your best. But many Republicans probably don't understand that complex logic, I guess.

What? Americans are donating 6 billion dollars to champagning and I don't think they intend it to be used for $400 hair cuts!! No, I as a Republican don't understand that logic but then I don't understand much about the logic of a democrat!

obviously!!!!! At $400 a hair cut, could you imagine what he would do in a 4 year term spending money on these expensive haircuts. He has his hair cut like every three weeks. You do the math. Republicans just like to budget the money a little better. Republicans also rather be seen at face value. Make you wonder why he needs to spend this much, what is he hiding?

I'm trying to figure out how you could pay that much for a haircut. I normally spend about 10 bucks, 20 if I went to the high end shop where the hot chick washed my hair first! If I were a long haired rock star, perhaps I could see more, but Edwards hair is nearly as short as mine!

It definetly shows that he lacks fiscal responsibility. If he paid for it with campaign funds it demonstrates corruption.

John Edwards should not be supporting the return of military slavery (a.k.a the draft). He also should be spending his own money, not campaign donations, on haircuts. If you gave money to a presidential candidate to use for the purpose of getting elected, wouldn't you be unhappy if he spent it on himself instead of on his campaign?

I agree that candidates should try to look their best, but they shouldn't be spending campaign donations on haircuts. That should be condemned, no matter which party they're from.

Here's the deal: I couldn't care LESS how much he spends on a haircut as long as it is his money.

PS, I'm glad he cares about his looks. If I HAVE to look at him on TV and the internet, then Heck yeah.........I prefer that he look good.

Better than looking at Nixon in the 60s , OK?

Thank God the media wasn't quite as immediate then, ya know?

It's a sham issue. Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani aren't exactly buying their suits off the rack at Filene's. Focusing on John Edwards' hair is of a piece with Ann Coulter's comments about him at C-PAC -- their trying to smear him by insinuating that he's effeminate.

some do... I saw McCain looking pretty rought the other day... but he's getting old...

Mit usually looks sharp and I bet he pays for it... the rest seem to be ok...

$400 seems excessive for a haircut... but if that's the worst that he's done... he's doing better than most...

People are people and politics is politics so I doubt there is a significant inter party difference in marketing of candidates.

John Edwards will probably only get one vote from Paris Hilton behind bars.
