Very different.

An escort isn't hired to commit sexual acts. They are hired to take you to a function. Many single people hire escorts rather than finding a date. Sometimes, this service has led to sex. But, that is the exception and not the rule.

Prostitute is hired for sex with no pretense to be seen in public with you.

An escort is legal. Prostitution isn't legal in most places in the states. It is legal in Holland though.

You probably meant to ask if a "Call Girl" and a Prostitute are the same thing. And, essentially they are.

No, they are different. Escort means dating, in other words. Escort is the word they used in old days when a man used to go out with a woman.
Prostitute is having sex with a professional and that's totally different.
You will marry yur escort in the future, but surely you will never marry a prostitute.
Hope that answers ur question

Different. Escort is just a person hired for companionship. Some escorts will offer the services of a prostitute, but it is not part of the definition of an escort.

Technically it means the same thing. But escorts are known to be like hot chicks you pre-order through an agency or something. They are suppose to look better and be classyer and all that! I guess it is safer to be an escort because they have bookers who prescreen their clients to make sure they are safe and not cops or anything! Prostitute are considered to be street walkers with pimps and the whole nine!

In Vegas it's a prostitute; it's an escort in hypocriteville.

I think they are different. Escort just means you look good with an attractive date to impress someone else.

It could mean prostitute, but not necessarily.

the titles are different but the law description when they get arrested are the same.....(offer or agree to secure a lewd act.....) but all the work involved in both job titles are exactly the same.....you know what I'm talking about!!!!!they both do the same dirty little deeds.....here's the loop hole, a prostitute is hired strictly for sexual acts.....an escort will say " you are paying me for my company, lap dance, or public apppreance to a social event but if we have sex it isn't for the outragious amount of money you are paying me for the other services....the sex is free and only bcuz i want to have sex with you, not bcuz you're paying me".....that is how an escort gets out of being arrested.....only if they follow the loop hole rule

Not really, but if you're talking about an "escort service," there probably is no difference.

Escort doesn't neccesarily sleep with the person. Maybe.

The job titles are different, for legal reasons. The job, however, is the same.
