My 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee has 2 problems. The first problem is that when I have the A/C on, the blower only blows on the floor, in any setting. I know it has something to do with the vacuum hose not pulling the flap in the right position, but I'm not sure how to fix it. And my secong problem is my computer below my stereo. I keeps saying "Rear Lamp Failure" when my lights are fine. The guy I bought it from had a little "fender bender" which might have messed the sensor up. Is there any way to reset the computer? And if anybody knows how to add more power to my engine, it would be appreciated! Thanks!

Adam

I had a 93 like yours years ago.The same message came up saying there was a tail light problem. It was hard to find out that a bulb in the third brake light,on top of the glass, was burned out.I replaced it and the message still stayed on.I found the bulb was a substitute and worked but didn't satisfy the computer.I had to go to the dealer for the required bulb[s] that finally let the message shut off.
I don't know exactly what the problem is with the heat/ac. The blend door[they call it] isn't moving. It's controlled by vacum as you know.It may help to crawl under the dash and look for a loose line. The vacum supply line comes from the engine compartment and may be disconnected under there.
Got the 4.0L motor? There really isn't much that will make it go faster.

I hate to see you give up on a Jeep especially a Grand But a few thing you need looking at before you just change the bearings 1) You may have bent the upper and lower control arms 2) You may have bent the Uni-body 3) You may have damaged the front Diff 4) You may have damaged the transfer case by jamming the front drive shaft back into it, yes the shaft does slide on splines, bout only goes so far I would suggest you take it to a body shop that has a hoist and give free estimates (most do) And have them look at it, Be warned they will try to convince you to leave the truck and fix it but smile say no, be firm and get you est and leave, then you decide if it is worth to fix If the uni-body is bent then no it is not work fixing but hey a starter project if you want to build a rock buggie or HD 4 wheeler. Yes you could trade it for a Honda but a Honda? Yuk Besides there are a ton of good used Grands out there and cheap, check Craigslist Hope this helps Good Luck, Once a Jeeper always a Jeeper
