Not necessarily. Some new friends feel like they have been wonderful friends all along!

I would not give up my old friends for anything... not the TRUE friends... that said I have a lot of new friends and one is already the person who stopped me calling my best friend "my best friend" because they're both as dear to me as each other...

Everyone comes through our lives for a reason and while new friends often come into our lives and vanish just as quickly as they appeared, just remember that at some point even your oldest and dearest friend was at some point Your New Friend... even if you met them in kindergarten.

Longevity of friendship is also no guarantee of quality or loyalty....

Don't ignore your old True Friends just because you want to make some new ones, at the same time, don't feel you're betraying your old friends just because you've met someone who you want to hang out with.

Life is always moving forward...old friends are awesome especially if you can remain friends through the ups and downs of life...new friends should always be given a chance! Everybody starts off with an A+ in my book...then may stay or drop down to an FU in no time. But hey people are people, we are all living on the same planet so lets be friends.

Not always. Sometimes you grow away from old friends. When you meet new friends, you are generally the person you will be for the rest of your life if you get me.

I have known a friend since grade 1, we are still friends now, but fight a lot. My now best friend I met in high school, we are still awesome friends after high school. Because my most important years - highschool and finding myself, we sort of grew together.

Well that is a good question and It's good to have both. Old one because they know you real well and new ones because you can get to know them and they can get to know you and it's interesting and exciting to have new friends but I think having both old and new is a good idea.

Absolutely NOT! The new ones have RESPECT for you and will never try to embarrass you in anyway - where the old ones are just that - old and they play the card well!
