I have a friends computer here im trying to get her connected to wireless....i plug the card in the computer says it reads it but when i bring up IE it ssays page not found. I also tried plugging it into my lan line but but when i do this the computer DOES not read it under network connections it says im not connect under lan. Any help? Maybe i need some drivers for the wifi card?

Make sure the wireless is enables on the laptop. a lot of laptops have it disabled by default.
different laptop manufacturers have different ways to turn the wifi on.

did you set the security on your router? there are different levels. Some security levels prevent other computers from seeing your wireless signal. If that is the case, you will have to check your router's instructions for allowing a wireless connection to your secured router.

most wireless cards include a utility for connecting to the wireless source. You must load and run that utility, connect to the source (to include any login, password, and any other security codes required) before that connection is active. If the wireless point is a public place, the sponsor of the network (such as a restaurant or hotel) can provide you all of the connection details.

Not may be, you have to, without drivers, the card is no more than a thick, out of shape pancake.
