Slope is -1

y-1 = -1(x-4)

y = -x +5 //QED

First find the slope
When x goes from 3 to 4, y goes from 2 to 1 (3-4)/(2-1) = -1.
The slope is -1.
So what is y, when x = 0
Make x three less, then y is three more. The intercept is at (0,5)
So y = 5-x or -x +5 if your teacher is strict on mx+b format.

find the slope: -1/1 or -1

plut this into y = mx + b with one of the points to find b:
2 = -1(3) +b, so b = 5

slope intercept form: y = -x + 5

use the equation y-y1=m(x-x1)
m is the slope so you will have to find it using (y2-y1)/(x2-x1).
so it would be (1-2)/(4-3)= (-1)/(1)= -1
then you would plug it in any of the points intto the equation mentioned above.
Ex: y-2 = -1(x-3)
y-2 = -x +3
y = -x +5 (add 2 to both sides)
