Why does everyone think the 80's rock?

I personally love the 80's bc of the music, the movies, all the rock n' roll. It just seems like such a cool time. I was born in the 80's but wish I were a teen living through the 80's.

What's your reason for loving the 80's?

Music was pretty superficial in the 80's no one had the valus of the two decades before. There were some good bands though. The Flaming Lips kicked off in the 80's The Smiths rock! But all the pop crap that is around then just pisses me off.

I like a lot of the 80's too, because I was a kid growing up then. I have a lot of memories of the movies (Back to the Future, Neverending Story, ET), and I remember the Big Hair bands. There was a lot of really, really crappy music made then too though.

- everyone is dressed like the 80's now

My middle and high school years were all spent during the Reagan administration. I know every generation says this, but everything seemed so much more simple and fun then.

I am utterly shameless in my affection for my generation, though I won't be bringing back my mullet. ;o)
