Hi Im hopeing someone has a clue about this before i take it to a shop while i was driving home 2 nights ago my low charge batt light came on , my car has 200.000 mi on it and the orig alternator in it so i went to my local salvage yard and picked up another and put it in again the light comes on i had the batt checked and replaced because it was under warrenty and still the light is on any help will be appriciated

Best bet take it to the dealer.They can check it and fix it right. This type of problem need a pro.

The first thing is to check the battery voltage with the engine running. It should be 13.5-14.5 volts. If it is, then the light is on for the wrong reason, maybe a grounded wire. If it is not, then the alternator is not charging. It may be that you got a bad alternator, or may be a wiring issue.

Go to your local parts store and have them test your altenator to see if it is working properly (there could be a blown fuse to the altenator)
