I have this fear of dying while swimming in florida is the water safe? will I get really hurt from getting stung from sea life?

Just don't go to Destin, i've been stung by either several eels, or a really big jelly fish, hurt like a mother. But just stay up closer to the beach area, and go where there's alot of other people. You'll be fine.

As for Destin, that's where i got stung, and i've seen tons of fish, sting rays, eels, jellies, and a baracuda once. Too much for me, but the crowd out there helps me forget about it, so i still go out.
