Now, that I think I'm in the middle of my life, I realize how certain were my parents about some advices.
I studied what I wanted and is not a career to make a lot of money. The worst is that for living I have to work in something different. I don't dislike my work at all, but if I could get back time, I'm sure I'd do some things very different.
You can't imagine how much the choices you make at 20 will affect you at 40.
Choices of every kind: studies, friends, boyfriends, works. Even in health: smoking, drinking, eating disorders.
Please, take care of yourself and think there are things that nobody can do for you. Your parents can't study for you. Your friends can't clean your lungs for you.
And ask yourself where you want to be in five years and work for it.
Maybe I sound like a "mother", is my experience.

Some of it is, some of it ain't. See you can't really make it as crystal clear as you want, simply because there are too many unplanned variables that come into play.
