I am about two months pregnant, and I already do not fit into my jeans, and I am showing a lot, and my boobs have grown two sizes. My waist has grown about ten inches, is that normal, and could it be twins?

is this your first? if not then you show faster than the 1st. if it is your first could be twins (do you have family history of twins?) - your doc should be doing an ultrasound soon and you will find out then. If you still can't wait ask him if he can schedule one to be sure, but know not all insurances will cover extra/elective ultrasounds - they sometimes only cover them if the doctor thinks there is a problem. congrats and good luck!!

Never go on a diet when pregnant.
One of the early signs of multiple pregnancy is a uterus that is larger than normal for your EDD. I had already grown out my normal jeans at 7 weeks. At 12 weeks pregnant, my uterus was the size of 16 weeks along. There really is no good way of knowing until your first ultrasound, or if the doctor picks up 2 beats on the doppler. Fraternal twins run on a mother's side. The chances of have twins are 3%, of which 2/3 are fraternal.

Not necessarily. At 8 weeks, most everyone starts to feel that their clothes aren't fitting right. Most of the time it is normal bloating (hard to believe you can bloat that much, but you can!). At 8 weeks, even two babies are still super small, and your uterus not really big enough (even with two) to stick out yet. There aren't really any "symptoms" of twins that one can look for. Some women have extra morning sickness, but others (like me) didn't get ANY morning sickness with a twin pregnancy. The boob thing: normal. Some women sprout early, while some never do. You'll know for certain at your first ultrasound or at the heartbeat check. Exaggerated HCg levels can also be an indicator. Best of luck.

For everyone that tells you NO there's no way, I can tell you YES it's possible. My boobs went from big to HUGE by 8 weeks. Sure, you might be having twins, you could have a unterine fibroid. I have an intramural (within the uterine wall) fibroid that makes my uterus look 4 months pregnant all the time anyway and when you add a baby to that I get HUGE. But its has never interfered with my fertility or the babies. When you go see your OB/gyn ask about it. You might also be eating more than you should, but try to keep me from eating what I want and I'll hurt ya.

Ten inches around the waist is not normal, but it really depends on how much you're eating. At only two months, you probably wouldn't notice excessive growth yet, even with twins, but every woman is different. At two months, the baby is only three inches long at the most. The boob growth is completely normal.

I have 7 month old twins, and they are my first. I began showing right around 8 weeks. It all depends on whether or not this is your first pregnancy, and your body structure. The smaller frame, the more likely you will show earlier. The taller you are, the more room you have, the less you will show. If you are concerned, talk to your doc. They can do a quick ultrasound, if that isn't possible, they can check for two heartbeats. Good luck!!

Well at 2 months that is so hard to say. Could be but it is most likely just the way you are carrying

some women show early others not so much, also are u eating a lot , some women tend to gain more weight then others.

I would think that if it were twins you wouldn't really be able ot tell for anothe few months.

hope that helps

Not necessarily, at this point the baby is smaller than a grain of rice. You could just have really bad bloating and gas. I know I did. It was awful. My stomach was totally poofing out but it was the gas not the baby. Larger breasts happen to a lot of women even with one baby. Your body may just be reacting strongly to all the hormones surging throughout your body now.

If you are carrying twins they should be able to see it at this point on an ultrasound. Maybe you should schedule an appt (if you haven't had one already) and find out for sure.

Good luck!

You are far along enough that an u/s should detect twins. Have you had an ultrasound yet?
All women grow at different weights. My younger sister in law grew SO fast she looked almost full-term at 5 months! Then she didn't grow much at all after that. Her older sister (my other sister in law) barely showed until she was about 7 months. :)
The best to you and your baby or babies :)

your doctor will be able to tell you. meanwhile everyone is different so don't get into a panic.
my sister had a 10 lb. baby, and when she went to the hospital in labor they didn't believe she was even pregnant. she looked like she was bloated and that was it.
her next one - she was big as a house! boy she made up for all the weight she didn't gain the first time around and she had another 10 lb. baby!
so, go see your doctor, and congrats on your 'almost' little one!
