This might be a stupid problem but lately im feeling .....feminin, if thats the word. Before id be into watching some "Die Hard" and now id rather watch "The Notebook" and films like that. I know it sounds stupid but i'm serious. A few months ago when i felt down, id like to punch someone and now i want someone to hug me or something. Really i feel like i might be losing my testosterone. Theres this girl i like and instead of going getting over it, i find myself texting her till like 2 in the morning wondering when am going to catch her up here again. Wtf is going on ?

You aren't losing your testosterone! You seem more to be "buying into" stereotypes. (There were some in your answers who immediately assumed, or warned you about being gay!) Nonsense. PLUS. You never said you want the GUY to HUG you. I wonder, do people really read the questions or just go off on a rant? Being sensitive isn't just feminine. I'd suggest you "see" yourself as who you are, not as the way others might perceive you. There's nothing wrong about texting until 2a. You must have something in common. Go with your feelings, that's the only truth you've got. Who knows where this may or may not lead? You don't sound stupid at all; just stop giving a hoot about what others "might" think.

Actually caring for a girl could be making you feel more interested in doing things that you know she would be interested in doing (such as watching The Notebook). I don't know how old you are but just because you like doing things that don't seem like the tough guy thing, that doesn't make you feminine. It just makes you honest with yourself about what makes you happy in the moment. Trust me, when your crush is over you'll probably be back to Die Hard and all of those movies. If not, oh well; everyone has their own taste.

It just means you are a caring and a sensitive guy !! Nothing wrong with that ! Not all guys are testosterone filled sports nuts who watch "die hard" action movies! Most girls will tell you they like the sensitive type of guy who will watch "the notebook" and text them till 2 in the morning.

You like that girl probably! And your probably a bit emotional about it too. That's why you want someone to hug you when a few months ago you was wanting to beat someone up. Which your so not the only one... same here! I used to wear this sweatshirt this guy gave me cause I cared so much for him! Its cute! guys who watch "The Notebook"

You're not "losing your testosterone."
Have you ever considered the possibility...perhaps that you are
in love..?

You'd be surprised. It changes you in crazy ways. However, even if that's not the case, the need to express emotions in a different way doesn't make it gender biased. It depends on one's personality and moods, and the environment at the time;
think of it as going to a higher emotional level...

You are fine, and it is normal for you to feel ilke this. You dont have to watch the hard films to be a man, you have just recognised your inner seld that part of you is gentle. kepp talking to your girl, friendship like this can often lead to something - good luck.x (You are not being feminine so stop thinking this way)

for one, you could be overreacting. i don't see anything wrong with preferring the notebook over die hard.

but texting a girl til 2 am and she's not your girlfriend, that's kinda weird.

and you didn't punch the guy because you'd rather be hugged by him instead (i might've completely misunderstood your statement)?

i'm sure you can figure it out. good luck man!

First things first chill out: what you are experiencing is very normal and no your not missing any testosterone just growing up. unfortunately most boys and men would rather not talk about it so i am glad you have. Further this can a fun if you let it, lots of good stuff you can learn about your self. good luck

Hi Paul,

The Chinese figured it out long ago, it is referred to as the Yin and the Yang, the two opposites that make up our entire universe.

Most men are afraid to admit they have a, shall we call it, a Yin side to them. They also have a predominant Yang side. Yang being male and Yin being female, but not to be confused with questionable sexual orientation.

There is an entire Martial Arts system made up based on the Ba qua, and is based on the concepts of Yin and Yang. It is said that too much of one and a depletion of the other can in extreme cases cause death.

We need light (Yang) and we need darkness (Yin), we need hot (Yang) and cold (Yin).

Understand that it indeed takes a strong man to be gentle, as a weak man cannot afford to be gentle as it would only amplify their basic inherent weakness.

To make a long story short, there is nothing wrong with you, and you feeling the need for love is not a major failure for a male to experience.

A Kung Fu teaching is before you learn to hurt, you must learn to heal and the Kung Fu Creed goes:

It is better to avoid than to check.
It is better to check than to hurt.
It is better to hurt than to mame.
It is better to mame than to kill, as all life is special and none can ever be replaced.

May the force of the Yin/Yang be with you always in equal balance grasshopper.

Sounds like you're falling in love :)
There's nothing wrong or "unmanly" about being sensitive sometimes. You've probably built up so many walls around you with your "tough guy" exterior and maybe this girl has actually broken through it.
Good Luck:)
