They are white crab and red crab trees. What should I do to help them?

Wait and see if the greenery on the bottoms turns out to be anything, if it does then it means that the trees are fine (this is probably the case), if they don't come out then it probably means that the trees died in the winter and there is really nothing that you can do.

these trees will not bloom till the next early spring! do not prune any growth off it now! just let it grow and it will soon fill out and look nice.

Most new trees need feeding - go to the nursery where you bought them and ask what food they need to grow stronger and healthier. good luck!

gently bend a thin branch and see if it breaks off. if it bends instead of breaks, the tree is still alive. if it breaks off but you see green inside, it's okay, too. give it time, give it some food, and some water.
