Most times, people suggest eating crackers and lightly salted or sour foods. I personally found that chewing gum or sour candy, eating peanuts and sunflower seeds helped me more than anything else did. However, try not to eat too many salty foods because that is really not healthy, but they do help to relieve morning sickness. If you don't like any of those, some maternity stores sell preggie pops and there are prescriptions that your doctor can write for you that tend to help a lot.
However, If you have SEVERE morning sickness, the best thing would be to ask your doctor to write you a prescription. Good luck. I hope you feel better soon.

I had the same exact problem with my 2 pregnancies. I actually lost weight from throwing up so much & not being able to eat. My dr.'s had to put me on Zofran. It really does work, but it is a prescription (and really expensive... if your doc's decide to put you on that, I hope you have insurance... 1 pill = $25 at 3 pills per day = $75 per day!!!!! Luckily I was able to get my insurance company to pick up the tab!).
I have also heard that ginger (such as ginger ale, ginger tea, ginger pills, etc.), eating small frequent meals, and certain wristbands can help. You can try these things, but to be honest, they didn't work for me. It depends on the individual and the level of nausea.
Best of luck! I know exactly what you are going thru. I used to cry when I went to bed because I knew that I would wake up at 4:30 am every day & start with the vomiting all over again. Believe me, there is an end to it (that kid can't stay in there forever... ha, ha!). When it's all over, you will be able to look at your baby & know that it was all worth it.

I had the same problem and I work as an RN in the ICU. It's not fun and I feel for you. I unfortunately threw up in a few patients rooms as well as the med room and in a potted plant in the elevator lobby. I felt so unprofessional, but at least my coworkers got a laugh...
I found that eating very small meals frequently was helpful as well as sipping water through out my shift (gatorade is good too because it has electrolytes) . I still ate and drank the same amount as before, but just spread it out. I also didn't go too long with out eating because I would end up starving and eat a bigger meal and end up sick. Lastly, I bought a huge bag of wintergreen Life Saver mints from costco and made sure my pocket was always full of them. The mints were a God send! Good luck and hopefully your All-Day sickness goes away soon!

Aww honey my heart goes out to you it's so hard and uncomfortable i know.
You could try a few things.
-crystalized ginger (my fav choice) you can get them at most bulk barns.
-homeade ginger tea just boil a few slices of fresh ginger in a pot of water for a good ten to 15 min and then add some honey and you can leave the pot all day. I boil some and then just let the pot sit all day and warm up each glass as i need it or drink it at room temp.
- iced water with a teaspoon of surgar or room temp water works too.
-salted crackers (keep some by the bedside)
You can ask teh doc about meds, I would tend to say make that your last choice only because it's still never proved what kind of effects those meds have on the baby.
I actually wrote an article on home remedies for nausea

hope that helps

Hi! I am not a big fan of taking any medications. I had a coworker who's wife miscarried due to a medication and its side effects. I am pregnant now and kept saltine crackers in the car which helped. It seemed like I was only nauseous in the car... Before my first pregnancy, it was recommended that I get ginger tablets because they help relieve headaches, digestion, and help good health. I took them during the beginning of the first pregnancy and it helped a lot. You can buy ginger tables at health stores like Vitamin World and probably other health stores as well. Hope it gets better.

Try SeaBands. YOu can get them at the drug store or walmart. Also, gingersnaps, flat cola, and other small snacks. If it persists and you absolutely can't keep anything down (that's fun, lemmie tell ya, lol) call the doc and they can give you some pills. My twin pregnancy had no morning sickness, this singleton pregnancy was non stop throwing up until almost 20wks! Best of luck

I had horrible morning sickness too, for 7 months it was horrible, the only thing that helped me out was a liquid iron supplement. My Dr. said it was OK and you can get it at a health food store, it gives you energy and helps with the nausea, hope this helps. Also try eating more spinach, it has alot of iron, hello salad.

While I was pregnant my doctor put me on Phenegan(generic name is promethazine). It kept my sickness at bay and got me through my day. I also kept cinnimon lollipops and peppermint dinner mints with me at all times. Ginger ale is supposed to work but I didn't have much luck with it. The regular 7UP seemed to help some also... If it's to bothersome ask your doctor what he/she suggests and let her know if you have tried the ginger ale and the natural home remedies that are safe. Chances are he/she will put you on a medication that he/she feels is best for you and the baby. Good luck and I hope it gets better for you...

Talk to your Dr about it. I had really bad morning sickness(all day sickness) with my kids. I lost 25 pounds with one of my pregnancies. I was eventually put on Zofran which is an anti-nausea med they give to cancer patients. It works great.
I have heard that ginger works for some-it never did for me.
