There is not much involved as far as maintenance goes. As mentioned keep the air filter clean and oiled. It really depends on how hard you when determining how often to rebuild. If you run it really hard I would change the piston and ring once a year. If you don't ride very hard, every two years.

Go to local shop of same make and purchase service manual for about $25 and it will tell you everything you need to know

Rebuilding is based on type of bike and how its used

i don't know about the engine but if it has a 2 stroke oil pump don't bother with it, mix the gas and the oil yourself in case the pump decides to quit working on you.
I had a 50 cc scooter the oil pump went out and it shot straight gas into the cylinder and burnt up my piston
