I hate to sound traditional but I still prefer vanilla in the long run. Ice cream is big in New England and I have tried all kinds of packaged, store-made, and farm stand ones (including Toscanini's, Ranco's, Herrell's, JP Licks' , Bedford Farms, Gary's, and Lizzy's Homemade) with fruits, teas, and chili in them) but I always come back to really creamy vanilla because it goes great with everything.
