Hi. I know this 12-year-old, and she is writing a non-fiction book about World War 2, and she wants to find a publisher and find out about sending in her manuscript. She needs these questions answered. Thanks!

Buy a copy of the book, The Writer's Market, it will answer her questions.

I too have written a book and may I offer a sujestion before sending the manuscript to a publisher for review---make a copy of the manuscript and mail it to yourself certified mail and do not open it---keep it in a safe place and you can use it to prove to a court of law that you are the writter if someone should try to reproduce it under another name or title! Also if you have some good novels lying around they almost always have the names of the publisher and an address where they can be reached!
