Math Percentage Question?

Question

You got 38 out of 50 correct, or 76 % each question is worth 2 points

how would I calculate this? I know this is simple but I am having a brain fart and cant figure it out.

I would suppose 50 questions of which only 38 are correct but how would I get the percent?

lol you're right, it is easy. Percentage just means "out of 100". So you're taking the fraction where your number correct is the numerator and the total number possible is the denominator (so 38/50), and changing it to its equivalent with 100 as a denominator. Divide 100 by the denominator. 2. Multiply that by the numerator. 2 x 38 = 76. For your second question, 100 is already the denominator. So just restate the numerator. 80%

The method we were taught is make it a fraction and times by 100 so 38/50 x 100.
