They seem to be just weak. Are they selling nuclear information and devises to them? Why such a weak stand?

Russia is complacent on the Iran issue because it wants to concentrate on improving its economy rather than venturing to aggressive foreign diplomatic acts. Likewise, Russia is suspected to have sold nuclear technology to Iran and why will it protest over its irresponsible nuclear program.

For the same reason we used to sell weapons to saddam, currently sell weapons to such "bastions of democracy" like turkmanistan and ubekistan...it's lucrative. Their stance is not weak..it's profit driven. Every weapon in the hands of a potentially dangerous regime came from some foreign country, US included. We simply cannot deny a nation a particular type of energy just because we don't like them.

man these questions are so easily answered by simply looking at what contracts various countries have with each other. Russia currently has the contract to build the nuclear power plants in Iran.

Russia is not the super power they once were. Why should they go after Iran when they don't have a problem with them. If we go to war with Iran, it is us they will be fighting. I don't blame them for not wanting to back another of Bush's Wars.It is a no win situation and we need to live and let live.

Cause Russia is run by a government of back-stabbers. They sell nuclear technology and missiles to Iran. Russia should be bombed right after we make a crater out of Iran.

Iran is a big trading partner with Russia and China. if more economic sanctions are imposed on Iran, Russian and Chinese companies will lose money from that.
