Sorry you asked this... they would be dead in an instant. I wouldn't care... I'd do the time afterwards. I would not advise anyone to do the same. I do believe in peace and forgiveness, but NO ONE harms my family.
Ironically,
Peace

Well first of all, who says that people who are wronged do not forgive people who commit murder. I think that they should indeed. I'm not Catholic, but I was inspired when I heard the story of Pope John Paull II visiting his would be assasin as soon as he recovered from his gunshot wound. He did this so that he could tell the man that shot him that he had forgiven him. The pope and his would be assasin kept in touch for years and the would be assasin even attended the pope's funeral. Now that is Christianity in action. But keep in mind none of this did one thing to shorten the man's prison sentence. This was simply beyond the control of the Pope. But just because the man was still punished by the state, that does not mean there was no forgiveness on the part of Christians. And to the point, I do not think that the death penalty is some arbitrary act of revenge or even deterance, it can be those things. But It is can also often be an act of the state in order to prevent the individual from commiting future crimes against society, and as such it is quite effective. But even then there can still be forgiveness.

SERIOUSLY NOW! I don't understand. If I saw that person, I'd have to have been a witness, wouldn't I? If so, why wouldn't I have come forward? & if I did, how could this person possibly be free? (Not that I have that much confidence in the legal system...) I honestly don't KNOW what I'd do. But, I would consider this: If I had the means to kill the guy, I'd probably wind up in jail, & how would this effect the rest of my family? An eye for an eye is one thing, but not if you hurt others who have already been hurt. This one is tough--

This somewhat depicts a time in my life. The thing is he got put in jail and at the arraignment w/o knowing I jumped up and started moving his way when they brought him out of the back, not pretty. I got sat down. I can't say what I hoped to do but it is a difficult thing to deal w/and I hope no one on here ever does.

I wouldn't try to mess with him/her because I'm sure my family members would not have wanted me to get in trouble. I wouldn't look for revenge either, I'm sure he/she would get his/her punishment from a different source.
The only thing I'd do is contact the police. I'm a witness, right?

This is a tough question. My mind is racing for the proper answer and I don't believe there is one. This is of course up to the individual who experienced it. Until that moment happens to me personally I cannot truthfully answer it.

I would call the police. I would be a witness in court, & then get put in the Witness Protection Program.

Drive over them, being cautious not to injure innocent people. Or follow him to where he lives & hunt him down ... like the the animal he is.
